Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 0 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance obtainable within a reasonable time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.

Responsibilities

The Deputy Project Manager of Operations (DPMO) supports our Strategic Weapons Control (SWC) line of business, enhancing performance and profitability while working closely with esteemed customers on high-stakes national security missions.

  • Coordinates and performs cross-functional tasks in support of the manufacturing organization.
  • Displays a sense of urgency to resolve issues and mitigate risk.
  • Serves as the primary manufacturing point of contact for program management, engineering, quality control, supply chain, and other groups.
  • Communicates effectively by providing clear status updates and proactively escalating issues when needed.
  • Quotes manufacturing scope for proposals.
  • Coordinates all manufacturing activity to achieve 100% on-time delivery.
  • May lead development projects and facilitate transition to production.
  • Works independently while following general outlines of assignments.
  • May interface with external customers, including DCMA and PMO.

Skills

  • Ability to research technical problems and summarize technical information as it applies to tasks.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and execute work.
  • Quickly grasps and applies new information.
  • Shows initiative on assignments and professionally executes projects with little direction.
  • Collaborates effectively in a team environment.
  • Fully proficient in presenting technical information to peers using written and verbal approaches.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
  • Manufacturing background (preferred).
  • Earned Value Reporting background (preferred).
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Schedule

This position is fully on-site with the Pittsfield, Massachusetts Manufacturing team.

Pay

Target salary range: USD $100,219.00/Yr. - USD $108,440.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (e.g., geographic location). Actual pay may vary.
