SVT Operation Technician 1st shift (M-Th)

About the role

Woodward is seeking Operations Technicians who are ready to join our 1st shift (Monday-Thursday 4:30am-3:00pm) production teams at our Loves Park Campus on our new servo line. This role supports and operates products such as servo valves, actuators, fuel metering units, specialty valves or pumps.

Responsibilities

  • Follows documented procedures to accurately and efficiently produce products using specified tools and equipment.
  • Flexes and supports the full product line in various processes/ capacities.
  • Observes and records key process variables to ensure consistency and quality in operations.
  • Accurately logs daily operations and resolves or escalates concerns.
  • Follows standard operating procedures.
  • Cleans and organizes workstations according to 5S principles.
  • Maintains a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conducts inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of products.
  • Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors to support workflow and escalate immediate issues.
  • Uses basic software and tools to complete tasks.
  • Ensures precision in tasks to maintain high quality standards.
  • Works cooperatively with team members to support overall team objectives and workflow.

Qualifications

  • Previous assembly experience preferred.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in a manufacturing industry performing assembly and/or testing in on similar components.
  • Proficiency with and in using a variety of hand tools and inspection and measurement equipment.
  • Strong knowledge and/or capability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

  • Critical Thinking: Identifies gaps-to-standard and resolves or escalates them per standard processes/procedures.

  • Time Management: Effectively manages time to complete assigned tasks within established schedules.
  • Lean Mindset: Follows lean practices such as 5S and waste reduction.
  • Production Systems: Understands and adheres to standardized work and escalates when cannot be followed.
  • Computer Skills: Uses basic software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, data entry tools) to complete tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures precision in tasks to maintain high quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Works cooperatively with team members to support overall team objectives and workflow.

Pay

Level 1: Estimated hourly base pay: $18.27(minimum) - $24.04 (midpoint) - $29.33 (maximum)

Level 2: Estimated hourly base pay: $21.15 (minimum) - $27.40 (midpoint) - $33.65 (maximum)

Schedule

1st shift (Monday-Thursday 4:30am-3:00pm)
