SVT - Operation Technician (2nd shift M-Th)
About the role
Woodward is seeking Operations Technicians who are ready to join our 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs, 3pm to 1:30am) production teams at our Loves Park Campus. This role supports and operates products such as servo valves, actuators, fuel metering units, specialty valves, or pumps.
Responsibilities
- Follows documented procedures to accurately and efficiently produce products using specified tools and equipment.
- Flexes and supports the full product line in various processes/ capacities.
- Observes and records key process variables to ensure consistency and quality in operations.
- Accurately logs daily operations and resolves or escalates concerns.
- Follows standard operating procedures.
- Cleans and organizes workstations according to 5S principles.
- Adheres to established safety protocols and maintains a safe working environment.
- Conducts inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of products.
- Uses hand tools and basic equipment safely and effectively.
- Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Manages time to complete assigned tasks within established schedules.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Understands and adheres to standardized work.
- Uses basic software to complete tasks.
- Ensures precision in tasks to maintain high quality standards.
- Works cooperatively with team members.
Requirements
- Previous assembly experience preferred.
- Proven mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in a manufacturing industry performing assembly and/or testing on similar components.
- Proficiency with and in using a variety of hand tools and inspection and measurement equipment.
- Strong knowledge and/or capability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Qualifications
- Moderate physical activity requires agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects.
- May be required to pass Near Vision and/or Color Vision examinations.

Pay
Level 1: Estimated hourly base pay: $18.27(minimum) - $24.04 (midpoint) - $29.33 (maximum)
Level 2: Estimated hourly base pay: $21.15 (minimum) - $27.40 (midpoint) - $33.65 (maximum)
Schedule
This role is available on a 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs, 3pm to 1:30am) at Woodward's Loves Park Campus.

- Must be a U.S. Person within the meaning of the ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
