Job Summary

This role oversees factory social responsibility program for Brand Managed vendors and has ownership in managing remediation and capacity building at factories to impact long term improvements. Promote awareness of Williams Sonoma’s social compliance program expectations to Brand Merchants, vendor local country teams as well as our factories through regular trainings and communications. Build effective relationships with external and internal business partners with the goal of having the most optimized and sustainable supply chain across the region. Supports social impact manager with implementation of worker wellbeing programs in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Execute WSI’s social responsibility program across vendor and factories
  • Monitor and manage factory remediation plans and provide the expertise and support needed to enable sustained improvements
  • Ensure vendors meet social compliance and worker wellbeing goals
  • Delivery of key training to factories and local country teams to increase education and awareness on WSI social responsibility protocols and expectations
  • Build effective relationships with in-country office teams to solicit their commitment and support to impact improvements at partner factories
  • Manage regular reporting requirements as directed by management
  • Escalate potential crisis situations to management, as appropriate

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Studies or a related field
  • 2 years or above experience in the field of social responsibility either at an audit firm or a retailer (auditing, developing or enforcing implementation)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong information-seeking skills and a drive to make things happen
  • Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
  • Ability to network, influence, and utilize internal and external resources
  • Fluency in English & Vietnamese
  • Proficiency in Windows XP, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel , and Access

Pay

The expected starting pay range for this position is $29.20 - $33.58/hr. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
