Sustainability Specialist

Drive environmental impact through community engagement and municipal partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Support municipal contract compliance and reporting.
• Promote recycling and diversion programs.
• Carry out waste audits and produce diversion reports.
• Coordinate facility tours and participate in community meetings.
• Create outreach and educational materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Experience working with municipal programs, sustainability, recycling, or environmental services.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging with city staff, customers, and community stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and clearly explain findings to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable conducting site visits, waste audits, and facility tours.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for meetings and site visits.
