Survey Tech

About the role

The Survey Technician position is responsible for assisting surveyors and/or designers to help identify property lines, right-of-way lines, easement boundaries, etc. for the design and/or construction of utilities.

Responsibilities

• Collecting boundary field evidence of monuments, topography, easements, and utility locates.
• Using GPS equipment to take accurate and detailed field notes.
• Utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D for drafting, data processing, and importing.
• Able to work in field or office settings in variable amounts of time depending on project requirements.
• Coverage with InterCon Designers on survey needs and schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Required Knowledge/Skills

• Minimum of two years of experience or two years related schooling is required.
• Current CST (Certified Survey Technician) certification(s) a plus, or a willingness to pursue after employment.
• Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Able to manage numerous tasks/projects simultaneously.
• Able to work with other employees.
• Able to self-motivate when tasked with solo work opportunities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
