Survey Project Manager in Training

About the role

The Survey Project Manager in Training (P.M.I.T.) at McClure is a learning opportunity for those interested in the office side of land survey and project management. The position involves assisting in various survey projects both internally and for external clients, with a focus on developing skills in project coordination, client communication, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing effective survey solutions to meet client needs.
• Communicate with clients and lead and mentor teammates to ensure project success.
• Oversee the QA/QC process to ensure high-quality deliverables and risk mitigation.
• Monitor client satisfaction and maintain strong client relationships.
• Articulate clients' goals and objectives to the team and manage the financial status of projects.
• Prepare fee estimates, write proposals, and perform contract management.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing or possessing a Land Survey Intern certification or Land Survey License.
• At least 5 years of experience in surveying or a related field.
• Fluent in Autodesk Civil 3D and capable of learning other survey-specific software.
• Strong understanding of coordinate systems, survey field procedures, construction layout, and reading construction documents.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
