About the role
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager to oversee survey projects from proposal through completion, driving accuracy, efficiency, and client success. You’ll lead field and office teams, ensure quality control, and build strong client partnerships while contributing to transformative land development and infrastructure projects across New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Client communication (internal and external)
- Project proposal preparation and invoicing
- Oversight of field and office teams, including project surveyors, CAD technicians, and field crews
- New business development by leveraging existing clients and Colliers Engineering & Design’s diverse Land Survey & Measurement service lines, such as:
- 3D High Definition Laser Scanning
- Mobile Lidar Mapping
- Rail Surveying
- GPS and Conventional Surveys
Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of field survey operations and deep knowledge of the engineering and construction industry
- Strong technical background in conventional survey and remote sensing technologies
- Strong property line/right-of-way (R.O.W.) experience
- NYC public agency experience (a plus)
- Professional Land Surveyor License (required)
- 10+ years of experience in all areas of the job description
- Ability to generate revenue through existing client base and new business development
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English for job-related communications and instructions
- Valid driver’s license (required)
Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Experience with Trimble and/or Leica equipment and software
- Experience with projects utilizing 3D scanning (a plus)
Pay
$95,000 to $153,000 per year (depending on qualifications)
