Survey Party Chief

About the Role

This position is a Survey Party Chief which requires 4–8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew performing control surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring and as-built surveys. Must have the ability to mentor, train, and manage assigned staff in the field.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, digital and optical levels, and RTK GPS equipment
• Perform survey calculations in the field
• Interpret design plans and understand as-built drawings and roadway plans
• Create legible field sketches and detailed field notes
• Lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions
• Work evenings/weekends when required
• Travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
• High school diploma/GED
• Valid current driver’s license
• Ability to maintain required certifications
• Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment
• Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position
