Survey Field Technician

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is a national multi-disciplined surveying and engineering firm seeking a full-time Survey Field Technician to assist the Crew Chief in collecting field data and preparing it for CADD Operators.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Crew Chief in collecting information from the field.
• Prepare field data for CADD Operators in the office.
• Perform essential duties of the position with great communication and mathematical skills.

Requirements

• One year of surveying field experience.
• Ability to communicate and express ideas clearly.
• Consistent work effort and dependability.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to plan, organize, and take initiative.
• Willingness to commit to deadlines.
• Ability to walk across uneven terrain.
• Ability to work outside for extended periods and handle exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to travel.
• Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Desired experience includes:

• PLSS boundaries.
• ALTA surveys.
• Topographic surveys.
• As-built surveys.
• Railroad as-builts and construction.
• Utility pipeline as-builts and construction.
• Construction layout.
• Experience with Trimble equipment is a plus.

Pay

Annual Salary Range: $46,000 - $60,000
