Survey Director
Job Responsibilities
- Provides leadership for the general planning, direction and supervision of Survey Department operations.
- Determines and administers labor, equipment, resources and financial needs of department operations.
- Facilitates meetings between survey and engineering to create efficient workflows.
- Makes decisions and recommendations recognized as authoritative that have important, far-reaching impacts on professional and related activities of the company.
- Assists in increasing the volume of new work by finding new work opportunities with existing clients, assisting with proposal preparation, and finding opportunities to serve new clients.
- Evaluates work performance of department personnel.
- Provides on-the-job coaching and mentoring for department personnel to foster career growth.
- Responsible for staffing decisions within the department.
- Works with other Survey Directors to promote workflows that facilitate efficient workshare across regions.
- Responsible for keeping up with the latest technology, and identifying trends within the Survey practice.
Job Requirements
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensed in the state of Georgia
- 10 or more years of land surveying experience
- 7+ years of leadership experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work in the Kennesaw GA office
