Surgical Technologist - Weekday Night Shift

About the role

Surgical Technologist responsible for assisting surgeons during procedures, preparing the operating room, and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist during surgeries by practicing aseptic techniques, setting up instruments, and managing supplies.
• Coordinate treatments with multidisciplinary teams and provide basic patient assistance.
• Ensure correct surgical site identification, verify specimen collection, and maintain accurate supply counts.
• Participate in surgical timeouts, universal precautions, and emergency procedures.
• Document procedures, manage specimens, and perform post-operative tasks such as dressing changes.
• Support admission, discharge, billing, and on-call rotations; act as a preceptor for students.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Surgery Technology.
• Applicants graduating after December 31, 2020, must become certified within six months.
• Strong attention to sterile techniques, teamwork, and communication skills.
