About the role
Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. The hospital provides specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region, including intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. The Perioperative Services department supports full surgical procedures from ward admission to recovery.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgical scrub duties and maintain sterile techniques for all surgical procedures.
- Prepare the operating room, equipment and instruments for surgery while maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Support the Surgical Technologist team in providing life-changing health care interventions to patients.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent education.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Healthcare Provider (HCP) certification.
- Certified Surgical Technologist Certification with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) or Certified Surgical Technologist Certification with National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist training program.
Qualifications
- One (1) year surgical technologist experience preferred.

Pay
Pay Range: 39.34 - 41.41 USD per hour
