Perioperative Technician

About the role

As a Perioperative Technician at Lankenau Medical Center, you will join the Perioperative Team, working alongside Surgical Technicians, OR Nurses, Anesthesia, and Surgeons to provide personal and environmental care and comfort to patients undergoing surgery.

Responsibilities

• Work with Surgical Technicians, OR Nurses, Anesthesia and Surgeons to provide care and comfort to patients undergoing surgery.
• Be knowledgeable in the operation and care of specialized instruments and equipment used by the Surgical and Anesthesia team.
• Position, lift, and/or transfer patients as needed.
• Clean and sterilize the Operating Room and OR equipment after each procedure.
• Help transport specimens and manage inventory to maintain adequate supply levels.

Requirements

• Previous Operating Room, anesthesia tech, or related Health Care experience required.
• A High School diploma or GED is required.
• A Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) certification is required.
