Perioperative Technician

About the role

As a Perioperative Technician at Riddle Hospital, you will join the Perioperative Team to provide personal and environmental care and comfort to patients undergoing surgery. Your responsibilities include working with Surgical Technicians, OR Nurses, Anesthesia and Surgeons, positioning, lifting and/or transferring patients, cleaning and sterilizing the Operating Room and OR equipment, and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Work with Surgical Technicians, OR Nurses, Anesthesia and Surgeons to provide care and comfort to patients undergoing surgery.
• Knowledgeable in the operation and care of specialized instruments and equipment used by the Surgical and Anesthesia team.
• Position, lift, and/or transfer patients as needed.
• Clean and sterilize the Operating Room and OR equipment after each procedure.
• Help transport specimens and manage inventory to maintain adequate supply levels.

Requirements

• Previous Operating Room, anesthesia tech or related Health Care experience required.
• Must be available to take call rotation weeknights and weekends.
• Must live within 30 minutes of Media, Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) certification required.

Schedule
