Surgical Technologist - Perioperative Services
About the role
Pali Momi Medical Center is a 118-bed facility with over 400 physicians on its medical staff. It offers a wide range of services, including an interventional cardiac catheterization unit, a minimally invasive surgical suite, a women’s center, CT scan and MRI services, and a retina center. The hospital is known for its innovative approaches, such as a team triage approach in the emergency room and a state-of-the-art perioperative services department.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgical scrub duties and maintain sterile techniques for all surgical procedures.
- Prepare the operating room, equipment, and instruments for surgery while maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Form part of the state-of-the-art Surgery team and assist in providing life-changing surgery services.
- Identify the patient’s individual needs, develop and implement a patient care plan, and coordinate nursing services to restore health before, during, and after a surgical procedure.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist training program.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist certification with NBSTSA or Certified Surgical Technologist certification with NCCT.
- One (1) year surgical technologist experience preferred.
