Surgical Technologist - Operating Room - CST

About the role

The Surgical Technologist provides safe, efficient perioperative care under the supervision of a registered nurse and in collaboration with surgeons. The role involves selecting, preparing, and maintaining surgical instrumentation, equipment, and supplies while applying sterile and aseptic techniques, and utilizing knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and technology as part of the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Select, prepare, and maintain surgical instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
• Apply sterile and aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons and registered nurses.
• Utilize knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and technology to support operative care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited or military surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• CST certification from the NBSTSA required within one year of hire and must be maintained.
• Previous certifications may exempt internal transfers.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $32.43 to $48.66 per hour.
