Surgical Technologist First Assist Certified - CSTFA

Responsibilities

• Assists the surgeon during surgery
• Communicates the surgeon’s preferences and specific patient needs to the surgical team
• Positions, preps, and drapes patients for surgical procedures
• Retracts tissues and organs for optimal visualization
• Selects and uses appropriate equipment
• Holds incisions open and controls bleeding
• Closes incisions and performs other technical duties

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: Surgical Technology First Assist Certificate
• License/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) Certification
• Required Experience: At least 3 years’ experience as a Surgical Tech and 1-year Surgical First Assistant experience

Qualifications

Education: HS Graduate or Equivalent and Surgical Technology First Assist Certificate Required

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
