Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - First Assist

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Monitor patients' physiological status before, during, and after surgeries.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining the operating room and surgical instruments.
• Maintain compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and recovery.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of perioperative OR experience with Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, or Thoracic specialties.
• RN licensure in GA or a Compact license.
• BLS certification required.

Skills

• Preferred experience includes Trauma Level I/II and community hospitals.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is a plus.
