About the role

The Health Support Center (HSC) team at Lifepoint Health seeks a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - First Assistant to support patients and community members interfacing with our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient to provide optimal exposure for surgical procedures, utilizing stabilizing equipment as needed.
• Provides visualization of the operative site using appropriate methods, including manipulation of tissue and materials, retraction, sponging, suctioning, and irrigation.
• Utilizes techniques to achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis.
• Aids in body plane closure, application of wound dressings, and securing of drainage systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
• Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
