About the role
We are seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assistant to support intraoperative procedures under the surgeon's supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist with exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other technical functions within validated skills from approved training and regulatory standards.
- Perform preoperative and postoperative duties to ensure patient care.
- Manage equipment and review permits.
- Aid in patient positioning and surgical techniques.
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program; preferred an associate degree.
- Minimum of 3 years scrub and/or assisting experience; preferred 5 years as a surgical technician.
- Certifications required: AHA BLS, Surgical Technology, and Surgical First Assistant.
- Current licensure or certification as mandated by law or regulation.
