About the Role
Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist. A Surgical Technologist is a critical member of the surgical team who assists during operative procedures by preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and providing direct assistance to surgeons and nurses. This role requires a strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures
- Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operative procedures
- Maintain sterile techniques and ensure patient safety protocols
Requirements
- Trade school or equivalent education in Surgical Technology (Required)
- Virginia Surgical Technologist license (Required)
- Operating room experience (preferred)
- New graduate candidates in pursuit of licensure will be considered
