Surgical Technologist

Role Overview: The Surgical Technologist provides safe, efficient patient care in the perioperative setting under RN supervision, primarily functioning in the scrub role. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.Apply sterile and aseptic techniques, adapting to unpredictable situations.Utilize knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and instrumentation as part of the surgical team. Qualifications & Skills Graduate from an accredited or military surgical technology program.Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) required within one year of hire.Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Internal transfers to Rochester or Southeast Minnesota must have NBSTSA certification. Additional Requirements Nonexempt status with compensation ranging from $32.53 to $46.78/hour.Full-time schedule with variation in shifts, including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, with potential call, weekend, and holiday work.Possibility of working on weekends depending on the position. Key Duties: Ensure sterile environment, assist in surgical procedures, and collaborate with the surgical team to deliver quality patient care.
