Surgical Technician 1 Clackamas (40 hrs, days)

About the role

The Surgical Technologist supports the Health Care Team in delivering quality health care to patients in a manner that aligns with Kaiser Permanente's mission, vision, and values. They participate in creating a high-performance culture based on joint decision-making processes as outlined in the Labor Management Partnership Vision Reaffirmation and Understandings Booklet.

Responsibilities

• Complies with shift, unit, and organizational policies and procedures, including reliability and attendance standards.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and organizational records.
• Communicates information to maintain continuity of care.
• Prepares rooms and assists with procedures.
• Assists with emergency situations and patient care tasks.
• Performs administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

• One to two years scrubbing experience and/or completed practicum in an inpatient or ambulatory OR setting.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, operating room procedures, and equipment.
• Dexterity with hands and effective relationships with people.
• Able to follow instructions and exercise good judgment and discipline.

Qualifications

• Three to five years scrubbing experience in all surgical procedures in inpatient or ambulatory OR setting.

Skills

• Knowledge of sterile core area.
