What You'll Do
- Assist patients with scheduling appointments and coordinating follow-up care.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and compassion.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.
- Provide education regarding appointments, procedures, and next steps.
- Cookordination communication between patients, providers, and clinic teams.
- Support prescription refill requests, referrals, and medical record requests as assigned.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Resolve patient concerns or escalate issues to the appropriate team when needed.
- Protect patient privacy by maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service during every patient interaction.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in healthcare, medical office, call center, patient services, or customer service preferred.
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA Guidelines)
- Physical Activity: Standing, Walking, Stooping, Grasping, Typing, and Manual dexterity.
- The worker is required to have visual and verbal acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds on a regular basis from floor to waist, 5 pounds from waist to shoulder, and 5 pounds from shoulder to overhead.
- Work Environment: Professional medical office environment.
