Patient Services Specialist

About the role

This role is a full-time position working 30-40 hours per week, with the option to travel to the San Luis Obispo clinic as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, manage check-in and check-out processes, and engage with patients in various ways.
• Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care.
• Cook up and manage appointments, prepare prescription printouts, and handle billing and payments.
• Manage eyewear pick-ups and perform minor repairs and adjustments on eyewear.
• Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous retail experience is considered an asset.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences.
• A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively.
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay

The expected starting compensation for this position is between $18.17 to $21.07 hourly, considering factors like experience, skills, and qualifications. Base pay is just one component of our overall Total Rewards offering.
