SURGICAL SCHEDULER - PRACT MANAG

About the role

Oneida Health is seeking a full‑time Surgical Scheduler to manage patient scheduling for the Women’s Health clinic in Oneida. The Scheduler will assist patients and referring providers in arranging surgical procedures at Oneida Health Hospital and outpatient offices, working both independently and as part of a team while building strong working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgeries as designated by physicians using a computerized scheduling system.
• Work collaboratively with the patient services department and other departments.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and management.
• Document work processes with attention to detail.
• Coordinate processes and route all paperwork to meet physician and facility requirements.
• Ensure efficient and effective telephone communication.
• Follow all written protocols and procedures accurately.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience in surgical scheduling or a medical office setting (required).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
