Surgical Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a busy perioperative surgical team specializing in orthopedic and robotic surgeries. The role offers opportunities for mentorship, ongoing professional development, and exposure to advanced robotic technologies such as Davinci Xi, dv5, and Mako.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive perioperative care
• Assisting surgeons across various specialties, including robotic-assisted procedures
• Performing first and second assist duties
• Collaborating with nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Documentation
• Participation in quality improvement initiatives
• Supporting a culture of teamwork and excellence in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• Active licensure in New York State
• Proficiency in medical record systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Current ACLS/BLS certification
