Surgical Orderly Full Time

About the Role

Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will perform delegated duties to assist in the surgical services area. This includes a variety of tasks such as cleaning operating rooms, stocking and disposal of linen and supply materials to ensure assigned areas are kept clean and adequately supplied. You will always work as a team member within the entire facility and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties including sweeping, mopping, and dusting within the operating suite in an efficient manner.
• Assists in OR room turnovers.
• Assists materials manager in ordering and stocking supplies.
• Assists central sterile processing.
• Satisfactorily demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description and continually demonstrates competency in performing the job duties.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Previous experience and knowledge in cleaning operating room environments.
• AHA BLS required within 90 days of hire, if not currently certified.
