About the role
Surgery Scheduler at Texas Endoscopy (Plano Endo-East)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily maintenance of the surgery schedule and all aspects of the scheduling process.
- Strategize and problem solve to ensure high levels of customer service with scheduling coordinators from all doctors' offices and Operating Room Staff.
- Perform benefits verification and provide patient estimates.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years hospital or medical office experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED.
- One (1) year previous surgery scheduling experience in a hospital or clinical environment preferred.
- Insurance verification experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
- Able to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
- Show a genuine desire to work and improve the hospital as a whole.
- Professional appearance.
- Strong medical terminology.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
