Surgical / OR Tech III

Full-time, hourly position located at 355 Grand Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302. The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $31.41 - $38.42 per hour. Compensation will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.

About the role

In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients, maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.

Responsibilities

• Scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
• Make calls, multitask, and work independently.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician training program.
• 2 – 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.
• Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) certification.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association.

Schedule

• 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.
• Every other weekend and holiday.
