Surgical / OR Tech III

Role Overview

The OR Tech III collaborates with perioperative nurses to organize and deliver age-specific patient care, ensuring a safe surgical environment and expected physiologic responses during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the operating room and surgical equipment
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure patient safety
• Support various service lines including robotics, vascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, plastic, and trauma cases
• Communicate effectively with team members and make calls as needed
• Work independently and multitask efficiently

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent and surgical technician training
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Certification as a Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) and BLS certification
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills

Key Duties

• Provide age-specific patient care in the operating room
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and sterile procedures
• Support surgical teams across multiple service lines
• Maintain effective communication and work independently
