About the role
The OR Tech III collaborates with perioperative nurses to provide individualized, age-specific care to patients, ensuring a safe surgical environment and optimal physiological responses during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and maintaining sterile fields during surgeries
- Support various service lines including robotics, vascular, neurovascular, thoracic, orthopedics, and trauma cases
- Ensure patient safety and facilitate positive surgical outcomes
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Surgical Technician training program
- 2-3 years of experience in a surgical setting
- Proficiency in scrubbing for multiple service lines, including complex and trauma cases
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and be flexible
Certifications & Licenses
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) required
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
Schedule
- Work hours from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, including every other weekend and holiday
