What You'll Do As a Surgery Scheduler at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll: Schedule surgeries, procedures, diagnostic tests, and follow-up appointments per physician orders and patient needsAct as the primary point of contact for surgical patients, providing information and answering questionsCoordinate with Surgical Assistants, operating rooms, and providers to ensure availability of staff, special equipment, and materialsConfirm insurance authorizations and ensure all necessary documentation is in placeMaintain detailed and accurate schedules in the electronic medical record systemCollaborate with front office and clinical staff to ensure smooth transitions of care A Great Fit If You… Enjoy helping patients feel informed and supportedKnow how to stay calm and collected when juggling multiple tasksCan keep calm and collected in a fast-paced medical office What You’ll Need High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of healthcare experienceWorking knowledge of medical insurance and terminologyExperience with electronic medical records (Epic preferred)Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skillsA calm, professional presence under pressure and in fast-paced settingsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamA positive, can-do attitude and commitment to patient-centered care Why OrthoAtlanta?
