Surgery Scheduler

About the role

As a Scheduler for our Surgery Center, you will be responsible for proving and contributing to the company’s mission, vision, and values by scheduling patient’s surgical procedures and maintaining the surgery schedule.

Synergy Surgery Center is a modern ambulatory surgery center located in Englewood, Colorado, offering same-day surgical procedures for patients in Arapahoe County and surrounding areas. Our state-of-the-art facility provides patient-centered care with comfortable and cost-effective alternatives to inpatient care at a hospital. Our highly trained staff includes board-certified surgeons, anesthesiologists, and qualified nursing and clinical technicians who specialize in surgical and recovery care. We offer a wide range of specialties, including spine, orthopedics, hand, podiatry, pain management, and ENT. Our facility is accredited by the Joint Commission, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Obtain CPT and ICD-10 diagnosis codes and other clinical information as required by the physician’s office
• Prepare documentation for Notification of Non-covered Medicare Services or Advance Beneficiary notices to patients and notify physician’s offices about these procedures
• Complete chart requests from Medical Records and notify the Materials Manager/Nurse Manager of any physician requests or special equipment needed for upcoming surgeries/procedures
• Determine the duration needed for surgeries in the operating room and work with OR nurse to ensure a daily schedule is streamlined
• Maintain the center block schedule list and arrange necessary anesthesia coverage
• Call/fax physician’s offices to notify them of any open schedule times that may allow for additional cases to be taken at the center

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in a medical office setting
• One year of Medical Scheduling highly preferred
