Surgery Aide, Operating Room (OR) - Methodist Hospital
Position Summary
Aids operating room personnel to provide a clean and safe environment for patient care. Knows and stocks OR supply inventory. Supplies OR with needed supplies and equipment. Collaborates with OR staff, surgeons, and other hospital areas. Assists with patient transport and room turnover. Restocks common areas and handles waste disposal. Communicates effectively and maintains cleanliness.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months of patient care experience
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrated understanding of sterile processing and materials handling
- Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Surgical materials handling experience
