Summary This position is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia. This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. Duties Help Serves as the principal civilian engineer lead directing a joint military, civilian, and contractor workforce to manage the agency's UC portfolio.Ensures all enterprise voice, video, collaboration, and network operations strictly align with DoD mandates and cybersecurity requirements.Directs global UC program management and resource allocation to deliver seamless voice, video, and collaboration capabilities across in-garrison networks, executive trip sites, and emergency Continuity of Operations (COOP) locations.Directs the end-to-end engineering lifecycle for the UC architecture, overseeing system design, validation testing, performance certification, and rigorous cybersecurity compliance across all network enclaves.Serves as a lead and expert advisor on voice technologies, providing expert guidance and strategic recommendations regarding the engineering, implementation, and sustainment of secure voice and communication platforms.Performs work involving the planning, installation, configuration, testing, implementation, and management of a critical Command and Control Network. Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirements Attention to Detail- experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been asked by others to review their work or data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards Customer Service - experience maintaining relationships with customers, assessing current information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products and services that are tailored to meet customer needs Oral Communication -briefing mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of technical information to a non-technical audience Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address complex information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions. AND Qualifying Experience To qualify at the GG-14 grade level, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience as a principal engineer with experience leading joint military and civilian teams; OR managing critical resources to deliver global projects involving end-to-end engineering lifecycle of enterprise Unified Collaboration (UC) or highly secure Command and Control (C2) voice networks. Candidates must also demonstrate the four IT-related competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving within their resume. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
