About the role
Coordinates and supervises the operational and managerial aspects of specialty areas in the Imaging Center elements which consist of CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography. Maintains respective departments in compliance with inspecting agencies. Ensures efficient performance of patient exams and supervises technical and support staff, in all department elements. Collaborates with Imaging Department Supervisors, Medical Directors and Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services in achievement of departmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise operational and managerial aspects of Imaging Center specialty areas (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography)
- Maintain departments in compliance with inspecting agencies
- Ensure efficient performance of patient exams
- Supervise technical and support staff across all department elements
- Collaborate with Imaging Department Supervisors, Medical Directors, and Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services to achieve departmental goals
Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Sciences in Radiology, MRI, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Ultrasound required
- Eight years of experience conducting procedures in Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography, CT Scan, MRI, or Ultrasound required
- One year of supervisory experience required
Certifications
- Certification from one of the following credentialing agencies required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist required when certified by ARRT in (R) (M) (CT) or (N)
- CPR certified
Skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to efficiently organize time to accomplish department's goals
- Knowledgeable of radiology department policies and procedures
- Proficient in use/knowledge of Hospital computer systems
