Supported Living Coach

ACT provides Supported Living Services to adults with developmental disabilities throughout the county of San Diego. These are in-home support programs to provide training, assistance, and support in all aspects of daily home and community life.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist clients in budgeting, cooking, menu planning, and grocery shopping
• Help with cleaning, scheduling and attending medical appointments
• Assist clients in accessing community resources and maintaining state or county benefits
• Respond to incoming correspondence and maintain a file system
• Resolve personal conflicts and provide support in other areas as needed by clients
• Provide caregiving support as required, which may include assistance with dressing, bathing, and toileting

Requirements

• Prior experience working with developmental disabilities, or in a relatable capacity such as caregiving or nursing
• Relevant education in human services or social work will be considered
• Reliable personal transportation (mileage reimbursed)

Schedule

• 8am to 4pm on Fridays and Saturdays
• 4pm to midnight each weekday
• Midnight to 8am on weekends
• Overtime available for additional hours
• Consistent weekly shifts once established
