Support Worker (Day Shift )

About the role

Cornwall Park residential care home in Newton Stewart has exciting recruitment opportunities available, we have day shift contracts and bank staff availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities
• Aid with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and meal times
• Encourage participation in community activities and social events
• Offer emotional support and companionship
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and any changes in the individual's condition
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the individual's needs are met

Requirements

• Good IT skills, necessary for recording all work on a handheld device
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors

Training

• Online training to complete mandatory courses upon starting the role
• Internal training sessions
