Standard Nursing Agency is urgently seeking experienced Support Workers for the Brent area to provide care and support to elderly Service Users with complex care needs in their homes or community settings.
Responsibilities
- Undertake practical tasks such as cooking, washing up, laundry, and other related activities.
- Assist the service user with domestic and personal care.
- Identify individual needs and ensure appropriate support is provided to meet these needs.
- Assist/enable service users to maintain high standards of health care and personal hygiene.
- Report any incidents and complaints to your Line Manager.
- Keep accurate records of individuals as laid down in policies and procedures.
- Undertake any task as required, considering the changing needs of the service.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in Health and Social Care.
- Experience with PEG feeding, stoma care, safe use of hoists, medication management, epilepsy management, and catheter care.
- Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect.
- Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability.
- Experience in report writing, learning disability & autism support, managing challenging behaviour, and behaviour management.
- Good understanding of safeguarding.
- Experience with adult complex needs and disabilities.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care.
