Support Services Technician, Eurofins Environment Testing Air Toxics, Folsom, CA

About the role
Eurofins Environment Testing, Air Toxics is seeking a Support Services Technician to join the team. This role involves handling hazardous materials, including cryogenic Dewars of liquid nitrogen, compressed gases, sharps, and liquid solvents such as methylene chloride, acetonitrile, and acetone. Employees must safely handle and transport these chemicals and reference the Chemical Hygiene Plan and Injury and Illness Prevention Program for guidance.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing sample media
- Packaging and shipping media to clients
- Building and repairing flow controllers
- Assembling and dismantling shipping boxes
- Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Performing physical tasks required by the job while adhering to safety protocols
- Demonstrating organizational skills, versatility, flexibility, and efficiency
- Managing multiple priorities and using time effectively
- Interpreting and understanding oral or written instructions
- Performing other support duties as assigned, including teamwork across departments
Requirements
- Experience in shipping, receiving, and/or warehousing
- Experience with processing orders using internal LIMS
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in using shipping provider websites
- Ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced team environment
- Good communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Positive attitude toward quality control, safety, high production work, and organized thought processes
- Knowledge of Internet software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Skills and Abilities
- Adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures
- Ability to communicate well with coworkers and management
- Ability to read, understand, and comply with SOPs
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds continuously and stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to work upright, bend, and use hands and arms repetitively for moderate physical tasks
- Ability to push carts with objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Effective hearing and speaking skills for in-person and phone communication
Pay
Compensation range: $19–$20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM shift, with possible overtime and weekends as needed.
