About the role

Eurofins Environment Testing, Air Toxics is seeking a Support Services Technician to join our team. This position supports our nationwide network of over 50 laboratories and 40 service centers, providing full-service environmental analysis for public and private clients, including DoD, DOE, and municipalities. Our comprehensive testing services cover air, water, soil, sediment, tissue, and waste, with a focus on analytes such as PFAS, metals, VOCs/SVOCs, dioxins/furans, and radiochemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and preparing sample media
  • Packaging and shipment of media to clients
  • Building and repairing flow controllers
  • Assembling and dismantling shipping boxes
  • Handling hazardous materials, including cryogenic Dewars of liquid nitrogen, compressed gasses (helium, nitrogen, hydrogen), sharps, and liquid solvents (methylene chloride, acetonitrile, acetone)
  • Reading and referencing the Chemical Hygiene Plan and Injury and Illness Prevention Program for safety protocols
  • Processing orders using internal LIMS
  • Demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols
  • Performing physical requirements of the job, including lifting up to 35 pounds continuously and pushing carts weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Exhibiting organizational skills, versatility, flexibility, and efficiency in managing multiple priorities
  • Interpreting and understanding oral or written instructions
  • Collaborating closely with all departments and performing other support duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experienced in shipping, receiving, and/or warehousing
  • Experience with processing orders using internal LIMS
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient in use of shipping provider websites
  • Ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Consciousness of and positive attitude toward quality control, safety, high production work, and organized thought processes
  • Knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

  • Capability to read, understand, and comply with SOPs
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds continuously, stand for prolonged periods, and perform repetitive tasks involving hands and arms
  • Ability to push carts with objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Effective hearing and speaking skills for in-person and phone communication

Pay

Compensation range: $19-$20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM shift, with possible overtime and weekends as needed.
