Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and preparing sample media
  • Packaging and shipment of media to clients
  • Building and repairing flow controllers
  • Assembling and dismantling shipping boxes
  • Handling hazardous materials, including cryogenic Dewars of liquid nitrogen, compressed gases (helium, nitrogen, hydrogen), sharps, and liquid solvents (methylene chloride, acetonitrile, acetone)
  • Adhering to safety protocols and referencing the Chemical Hygiene Plan and Injury and Illness Prevention Program
  • Demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Managing multiple priorities effectively and interpreting oral or written instructions
  • Performing physical requirements of the job, including lifting up to 35 pounds continuously and pushing carts weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Working closely with all departments and performing additional support duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in shipping, receiving, and/or warehousing
  • Experience with processing orders using internal LIMS
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficiency in using shipping provider websites
  • Ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Positive attitude toward quality control, safety, and organized work processes
  • Knowledge of Internet software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

  • Adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures
  • Ability to communicate well with coworkers and management
  • Reading, understanding, and complying with SOPs
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds continuously and stand for prolonged periods
  • Working upright, bending, and using hands and arms repetitively
  • Pushing carts with objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Effective hearing and speaking for in-person and phone communication

Pay

Compensation range: $19-$20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM shift with possible overtime and weekends when needed.
