Position Location
This position is located on site in Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
About the Role
The Support Services Supervisor II reports directly to the Contract Director and is responsible for directing, coordinating, and reviewing the work of contractor personnel assigned to the facility. This position ensures full compliance with internal standards, operating procedures, and all requirements of the contract. The Supervisor II oversees daily service operations, provides training, resolves operational issues, and maintains an efficient, orderly work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervises six to ten contractor employees.
- Directs and reviews work assignments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established procedures.
- Provides guidance and on-the-job training to newly assigned personnel in processing methods and procedures.
- Resolves working-level complaints and operational problems related to services performed under the contract.
- Manages and monitors daily work activities to ensure smooth facility operations.
- Performs routine equipment maintenance and makes necessary adjustments to support workload demands and organizational changes.
- Maintains the facility in a neat, clean, and professional condition.
- Carries out routine support tasks, including running errands, making copies, and transporting time-sensitive materials within the Washington metropolitan area using a vehicle as needed.
- Conducts data collection for use in statistical and workload reporting.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Requirements
- Minimum four years of supervisory experience in comparable service-activity environments.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent, sound judgment in managing day-to-day operational matters.
- Knowledge of file maintenance methods and procedures.
- Working knowledge of personal computer operation and standard applications.
- Ability to collect, record, and organize data for productivity or workload reports.
- Neat, professional personal appearance.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Current and valid driver’s license authorizing operation of contractor-owned or Government-furnished vehicles as required.
