About the role
The Support Services Manager is responsible for the dietary, maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry services in the Home, maintaining an overall hygienic environment for all residents, team members, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an overall hygienic environment for all residents, team members, and visitors.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and Caressant Care policies and procedures.
- Manage dietary operations of the home.
- Oversee cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance tasks.
- Implement infection control and safety practices.
- Handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Current active membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) or registered dietitian status.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices or prevailing practices regarding dietary, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of the Fixing Long-term Care Act and Regulations, RHRA Regulations, and other relevant legislation.
- Excellent knowledge of Infection Control and related practices and procedures.
- Previous experience in a unionized health care environment is considered an asset.
- Proven communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
