About the role

The role is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to foster youth and adoptive families, focusing on mental health services and therapeutic visitation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family therapy sessions to foster youth and adoptive families
  • Facilitate therapeutic visits between children and their birth parents or guardians
  • Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to develop and implement care plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform service planning
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field
  • Current license to practice as a therapist in California
  • Experience working with foster youth and/or adoptive families
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in community-based mental health settings
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
