Supply Chain Surgery Coordinator

About the role

This position provides exceptional customer service through welcoming behaviors, effective communication, and information sharing within the Supply Chain Services Department at Regions Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Manages inventory par levels for supplies and medical devices maintained in the department.
  • Reviews department schedule and coordinates supply, implant needs, lending and borrowing of supplies and equipment from vendors and/or other institutions.
  • Receives delivered items, verifies transaction documentation, enters software system, and distributes product to designated inventory storage locations.
  • Arranges and follows up on equipment repairs, back orders, and product substitution with Purchasing.
  • Actively participates in the Value Analysis process and coordinates the exception process for the department.
  • Reports to and works collaboratively at the direction of the Department Manager, Surgical Services leaders, staff, surgeons, vendors, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of supply, inventory, or purchasing work experience required.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist licensure.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Technology literacy is a plus.

Schedule

Full-time (FTE: 1.0); 40 hours per week, day shifts; Monday-Friday.
