About The Role

You will be in charge of the inventory level of raw materials and components families, ensuring material availability to meet the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

  • Follow up the MPS achievement and propose preventative actions regarding material availability to ensure MPS realization.
  • Set up proper raw materials and components inventory levels and lead actions connected with inventory reductions.
  • Measure the Supplier Service Rate (SSR) for each supplier and propose action plans to improve service levels.
  • Follow up and report daily the inventory level of raw materials and components.
  • Plan raw materials and components requirements based on Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning and the Master Production Schedule, anticipating potential impacts with suppliers and production.
  • Validate and send weekly forecasts to suppliers to ensure raw materials and components are available to meet customer demand.
  • Follow up daily material arrivals according to firm orders and ensure suppliers ship parts on time.
  • Communicate complete, precise, and reliable information to supplier contacts, adapting communication methods and frequency to the situation (preventative, curative, crisis).
  • Identify blocking points and plan quick actions to resolve them.
  • Attend Logistics/Purchasing meetings and follow up related action plans.
  • Propose action plans in case of material shortages with team support and communicate these plans to Customer Support.
  • Support the implementation of action plans with appropriate departments (APU, Logistics, Purchasing, VPS) using tools and methods to improve supply chain organization, such as Pull flow, Kanban, EDI, and Milk run.
  • Define inbound transportation plans with the External Flow Analyst.
  • Actively support inventory counting and propose actions to maintain inventory accuracy in cooperation with the ERP and inventory control analyst.
  • Alert sales in the event of a crisis (Customer or internal), define priorities with the Customer and internally (management, VS for the aftermarket), and follow the evolution of associated action plans. Escalate if necessary.
  • Meet supplier contacts regularly (at least once a year for major suppliers) and propose logistics protocols in cooperation with the External Flow Analyst and Purchasing.
  • Ensure there is a backup for each supplier, train the backup on managing the supplier’s account, and ensure coverage during holidays, notifying both suppliers and internal customers in advance.

Requirements

  • Technical Bachelor’s of Science degree.
  • 3+ years of experience with Supply Chain and/or Logistics.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics at a high-speed manufacturing plant.
  • Experience with Google or Microsoft Administrative applications.
  • Experience with Just-In-Sequence Systems and SAP.
