About the Role

As a Supply Chain Scheduler for Bird-Johnson, you’ll play an integral role in preparing, planning, and issuing production schedules while coordinating material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production needs. This role is ideal for a supply chain professional who enjoys cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and helping keep production moving. You’ll work closely with teams across the organization, advising management on work status and overcoming potential production obstacles while contributing to critical Naval and defense operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming components and parts based on Bird-Johnson’s master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
• Work closely with suppliers to confirm material demand, availability, and delivery dates to support Naval operations.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and traffic teams.
• Schedule and expedite the movement of parts via move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
• Maintain data integrity and compliance of supplier commitments within the Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) system.

Requirements

• 2+ years of work experience in logistics, supply chain planning, purchasing, or manufacturing, or a relevant degree.
• Ability to sit for long periods and work on the manufacturing floor as needed.
• U.S. Citizenship (required due to defense-related work).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Systems, Applications, and Products (InFor or SAP).
• Project management experience.
• Experience collaborating across multiple departments.
